"Happy weed", Dang, Nepal

The 22nd of feruary we (five volunteers and the ´President’ and Ma’m) went to Tulsipur which is 500 km west of Kathmandu. The trip there with bus was terrible. The bus was stuffed and the roads are awful – we were jumping up and down during the entire trip which lasted for 11 hours. At night. But we arrived and visited a lot of the presidents family. They are clearly not used to foreigners so far away from the tourist-area and we felt like animals in a cage.
After a few days we participated in an arranged hindu wedding – a little sad because the bride was crying, but they say that it is very common at arranged marriages. The marriage was not as splendid as we thought – no dancing and singing, but it lasted for two days and it was exciting and beautiful to see how they do weddings.
The day after the wedding we drove further on to Nepalganj which is on the border to India. Also a lot of uncomfortable driving :s. Here we staye in a lovely home in the countryside. Friendly, welcoming but curious people everywhere J
